Too often, bad regulation is only recognized as such in hindsight. I'm sure the lawmakers who crafted that which you now denounce as "bad regulation" were equally convinced that what they were doing was a "step in the right direction".
Nothing I've seen from our friends on the left has shown me that they are even remotely interested in getting this country back on track. In fact, just yesterday I read that some of the major health insurers will cease to offer child-only health policies. Seems that a provision in the new federal healthcare law prohibits companies from denying coverage for kids with pre-existing conditions. (Now, there's a shocker, huh?) Talk about bad regulation! But don't worry! Senator Bobby Casey (D-PA) is gonna FORCE those mean old insurance companies to issue that coverage! After all, it's for the children!
"Fixing things in November is a farce."
Really? You seem a little young to be so jaded, Rob. You do make a good point about the Republicans, though. Only this time, the Dems are making the same mistake and I believe what we're seeing here is an American electorate that's getting better at holding their elected representatives accountable for the state of the nation, more than any groundswell of support for the Republican party. People are imposing their own "term limits" on these clowns, and that, my friend, is indeed, a "step in the right direction".
Regards,
Scott Perry
