AFA aka American Freedom Assurance has promised us for months they would pay us but we have received a puny check compared to the money they owe us. AFA was put on credit hold as well. AFA doesn't care and the company president, Dan Rover, is too busy handling closings to make sure  the abstractors who did the title search for the closings get paid even though AFA gets their money. We will not do anymore work for this company and strongly advise Abstractors not do work for AFA. We have even been told when we call the Accounting Department that "you might get a call back and you might not get a call back". Seems like they are another company ripping off Abstractors and putting the money in their pocket instead. Anyone know the RESPA regulation? Our next step is to contact an attorney and sue them for the money owed to us.
