How long have the Bush tax cuts been in place?  And, how deep in debt are we?  Clearly that doesn't work either. 

 Because of the out-of-control SPENDING...not the tax cuts. The tax cuts resulted in an INCREASE in revenue. *shakes head*

Do you believe that if we raise taxes, the wealthy are going to say "That's enough, I'm going to stop making money so I don't have to pay the higher rates?"  I don't think the rich will decide to become poor to escape paying taxes.

No, but they DO have the option of sitting on that money instead of spending it...which is exactly what they are doing...haven't you been paying attention?

Why do you so desperately cling to the fallacy that "higher taxes = more revenue" despite all of the indisputable evidence to the contrary?
