I have again today inquired to ORT about insuring title out of foreclosure on REO property in Maryland and have again been told that we are conducting "business as usual" in Maryland unless we find in the chain of title that a particular loal foreclosure mill has been involved in the current foreclosure or any forclosure dating back to 2004 to the current. This one firm is currently the target of a class action law suit. I would venture to guess that at least one other local firm will be pulled in a class action suit within the next few weeks, but so far they have avoided that.
ORT has not yet introduced the blanket Indemnity Agreement currently in use by FNF and possibly others. There may be more to come on this in the near future and I will try to keep you all up to date on this.
