They're out of TX. We were first contacted by Alex DiArmendi, maybe back in February? who is very charming and friendly. David someone is above him. The first order they sent was one they'd already assigned to someone, said the guy was MIA and could we rush it. Of course it was in a remote VA county. As he's pressuring me for a definite ETA it comes out that they actually had the search back now from the original abstractor but since they'd promised us a chance on it, they weren't accepting the order. Needless to say I wasn't comfortable with how they were planning to screw over the first guy. It ended with my telling them I thought it best they use the report they had in hand.
We worked with them a few months and then they were getting nasty because we'd face the order with our invoice (we were never told not to). Then they told us to make it a separate attachment. Then that wasn't acceptable. Alex basically contacted us to say if we couldn't folllow their instructions, they weren't going to work with us. I pointed out we attach invoices because THEY HAVEN'T PAID US but for a single order ( though he'd kept citing they were on AUTOPAY), and keep sending orders at prices not agreed to. This went on over the course of a few months. I sent him the aged invoice report and he apologized, said they'd had some restructuring and they actually FedEx'd a check for the full amount.
They don't owe us now but our whole relationship over those months was not very pleasant. I sent Alex an email or two a while ago (we ended on friendly terms) but never heard back. I'm not sure he's still there. I know there's a post on Watchdog about them too. They are not the 'same' as FNF.
Hopefully you find the right person to get you paid. I'll look through old emails here to see if we have a contact.
