Don't explain a search. Ever.
If you're a competent abstractor your work will speak for itself. If your client doesn't know how to follow a chain of title or doesn't know how to rectify potential problems that you've identified, you don't want to do work for them anyway. Those are the clients that end up making big mistakes and getting sued and you'll get dragged in, not because of anything you've done, but because you are listed on the HUD-1.
Additionally, if you're not an attorney, your duty as an abstractor is only to report information. Any recommendations/advice could be contrued as giving an opinion of title (for which you are not insured) or giving legal advice (which is a crime).
