I was requested to do a rush search for a closing by the Allmon Law Firm in Seneca, SC for a closing the first week in October. I completed the search and send the work to this law firm on September 30, 2010.
There was a problem with one of the deeds not having a notary, so this closing has been delayed. I still have not been paid after send three past due notices.
The excuse is that they are waiting for the corrective deed to be filed, which it was on November 22, 2010.
My invoices state that payment is due within 10 days of receipt. I really don't care if this or any other search I do closes. That is not my problem. I did the work and I am going to get paid.
I will contact this law firm one more time today. If I am not paid, I will contact the Supreme Court of S.C.
Be careful if you do work for this law firm. I certainly won't again.
