And your option would be....? Turning it over to a collections agency won't help. An atty will take it only if the amount owed is high enough, plus you have to be willing to spend between $300 and $450 (depending on the state) to sue. It would be easy for me to stop working for them If they only owed me a couple of hundreds bucks. Instead it is thousands (that have already come out of my pocket to pay the abstractors). If you have a way to get more money out of people who owe you, I'm anxious to hear it. Meanwhile, I keep putting on steady pressure and not letting them get behind again.
BTW, they sent me ANOTHER check and they are now one mth behind which is completely acceptable. Since I only bill once a month, everyone is always a month behind.
