So you would rather 50 states pay for a study, than just one at the federal level?
I didn't say that. What I said is that each state should be able to decide for itself whether or not such a "study" is necessary.
The real conspiracy here is ALTA garnering opposition to a good bill because it requires a study of something most of us in the industry would surely be afraid of. It appears to be working.
That's why such provisions are commonly referred to as "poison pills". Yet another reason that the study portion of the legislation should be dropped from the bill.
