Has anyone else noticed the amount of contracts by vendor managment companies that are now trying to included a General Indemnity or Hold Harmless Agreement???  

I'm am not an attorney and I am not offering legal advice, but I will not sign any contract with that paragraph in it.  If you do, you are agreeing to pay their damages, their attorney fees and their cost when they SUE YOU !!!!!   

Call me crazy, but I'm not signing up for that.  And I hope no one else will either.  I realize it may cost some business, but I mark thru those sections, initial it, and return it with that part of the agreement nullified.  Most companies continue to send me business - some have not -- but either way --- that's ok with me!!!!  If you don't - you have any open ended liability that your E&O will not cover - Wake up - Don't sign....
