Following my last posting about this non-paying company, they contacted us.  They  apologized and wanted to make everything right.  But I still have not received a single check from this former client.  And they are back to their old habits of lying, not returning phone calls/emails and generally behaving like similar companies that enjoy stealing money from others. 

Still waiting (two weeks) on the FedEX overnight package containing  my check;  of course it had a bogus tracking number.
