There was an interesting item on tonight's news. Six years after homeowners' property was seized by eminent domain to benefit the economic development of the City of New London. Ct the property remains largely undeveloped.It would appear that the homeowners were stripped of title for little or no reason. It was a landmark case that permitted the transfer of private property from one individual to another because it was thought the City would benefit economically from the transfer. Kelo v. City of New London, 545 U.S. 469 (2005).
