The thing that stands out to me the most is... no plants, not even a weed growing up thru a crack in the sidewalk! I guess they invented the holes in the sidewalk for trees later.
It's amazing to think that before the middle of the 19th century, there is no really no record at all of how the world looked, and before the middle of the 20th century, there is no color record of how the world looked, and then, after that, a visual record of the world is and will always be available. Imagine 500 or 1000 years from now how important these decades will be to historians!
