That is a great idea, but I am already losing clients because of my fees. I refuse to lower my fees, since I have not had a price increase since 2007. I tell them that you get what you pay for, and just lose that client. I am a little stubborn, I guess.
I recently had an attorney close a purchase of commercial property. Of course, he was in a hurry for his title work. I was not paid out of closing. Guess this guy never heard of RESPA. I called a week after closing to ask where my fee was, and he told me my fee was too high, and asked how much I charge for commerical work. I told him I charge $60 per hour and asked how much he charges per hour. I still have not been paid and this has gone on since February 28. I have sent him a second past due notice. I was told by this attorney that I would be paid by April 1. The next time I contact him, I will also be contacting the Supreme Court.
I get soooo tired of begging for my money!
