Our job, and that of the recorder, is not to pass judgment on the legal effect of the documents, but to simply record them. However, I think your practice of notifying the client of defects you notice is very prudent and I would continue to do that. The problem with this client's request is that some "bad" documents will slip through and create more title problems. It would be better for all if the clients would listen to the abstractors they trust to handle their transactions.
