Patrick,
Thank you for your kind words. It's hard to believe this news wasn't covered more. These were the worst tornadoes since 1974. Fox News has covered it all week. There were very few places in the entire South that weren't affected. Pretty much the entire state of Alabama was devastated. They tore across Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi (hit by an almost non-occuring EF5 in NE Mississippi) all the way to Virginia & above. There were at least 164 tornadoes & at least 350 deaths & rising daily. 255 so far in Alabama alone.
My aunt (by marriage) lost her brother & sister-in-law in AL. I'm from Chattanooga, but now live in Dayton (Rhea Co) Tennessee a few miles NE of Chattanooga (Hamilton Co) & we were blessed that they didn't touch down here, but one storm cell would pass through then another & another - all day & night. We have underground utilities, but the the main transformer was out for several hours. The entire county was black, but a minor inconvenience in comparison to others.
My younger son lives in Ringgold (Catoosa Co), GA,(across the TN state line where we lived when my sons were in school) another of the hardest hit with a rare EF4 (175mph) but he lives 2 miles from the worst part. His brother-in-law's house was just yards from the worst destruction & was lucky to just have 2 trees on his house & power lines on his cars. There were 15 deaths in Georgia & 8 of those were in the small city of Ringgold, 5 in one family & 2 in the house next door & one in downtown Ringgold. With the strength & length of the tornado's path there, it's miraculous that there weren't more deaths. Noone was allowed in or out of Ringgold for a few days due to the downed trees & power lines tangled in huge knots across the roads.
I hope eveyone who reads this will keep these people in their thoughts & prayers & help them if you possibly can. So many have absolutely nothing left. There are hundreds of videos of the destruction. Unless you see it, you can't even imagine the devastation.
As for Abstractopia, they're great; so I hate that there was a miscommunication between them & the other company. I have nothing but good things to say about them!
