As a regular reader of SOT, for probably almost the entire 10 years of its existence, I am posting and asking for advice of this community for the very first time. I have been a title examiner for over 25 years. After becoming frustrated over some changes that have been made to the Registries from which I work I decided to run for the Office of Register of Deeds in the Hampshire District here in Western Massachusetts. I have two opponents in the Democratic Primary on Thursday, September 6, 2012. Yes, if you have any friends and families here in this County, yes I would love for you to contact them on my behalf to gain their support. My website is www.bonniemaccracken.com or Facebook at Bonnie MacCracken for Register of Deeds Hampshire (County) District. The reason for this post is that I have several candidate forums coming up before the election and I would like for people to send me some suggestions and materials to use in preparing for these forums. One of the three forums will allow me to ask each of my opponents a couple of questions. One of my opponents is from a political and human resource background and the other is a young real estate attorney. The attorney does closing, but does not search titles. Look forward to hearing your advice especially about what questions I should ask my opponents. Please also check out my website to learn about the legislation I got passed that expands the Massachusetts Homestead Protection Act to protect our deployed soldiers from foreclosure.
