I'm sorry you feel that way Robert. I stand corrected on the proposal being tabled. I missed your article. Does this mean it cannot be reinstated after the election?

I also found the second article you cited interesting but didn't come to the same conclusion as you did when you say neither side advocated an internet tax. According to the second article you cite, both sides support it and will likely pass it after the election.

This remains to be seen but my article was about the party that made the most recent proposal to tax the internet through the FCC. I was unaware they have since removed it pending the outcome of the election.  I apologize for that. The fact is it was an Obama and a Democrat controlled FCC that made the proposal and now wants to blame Republicans.

Robert McDowell was the only Republican on the commission when the proposal was introduced. He has denied ever having suggested taxing internet access and does not believe the FCC even has the authority.

I'm sorry you didn't like my tagline but I don't think it was misleading. It is Obama's administration that proposed ways to tax the internet in their 181 page proposal which to me clearly advocates for additional internet taxes.

I want to thank you again for the Hearthlander link about the proposal being tabled. I was beating myself up and couldn't understand how I could have missed that one. Then I noticed the Heartlander article was written on Oct 11. I wrote my article on the 3rd. I've updated my article to reflect the change and included a link to the article you suggested.

David
