Had a strange encounter with a contract worker in Bonner County Idaho. I sent her 2 current owner orders, which she charges more than I even make on the searches. I like to give my client more than they expect and keep them happy, as it pays off in the long run.

This contract order sent me results, sending me only copies and a tax print out for 2010 for one and no information I needed on the other. She charged me for 6 copies, but only sent me 1 copy which was the deed., Being concerned that there was an open mortgage, I called the county and sure enough there was a mortgage that had not been paid off.

I notified her in a business pleasant manner that I needed the open mortgage copies(assuming that she forgot to fax them with the order) and told her that I got the correct assessments and property taxes from the Treasurer. I did mention to her that we usually get a report with our searches and even offered to send her a template for her to use for future orders.

This is just one of the scathing emails I received from her:

**Wow, as a business owner I am amazed and shocked at your tone. I have the documents that I faxed and it is complete. I am thinking that you did not receive all that I sent.

I am sorry that you can not communicate with people that you say you will work with. Are you going to flake out on paying me as well?**
 
I have been in business for over 20 years, and have never encountered a person such as this. Has anyone else had anything like this happen? I really thought she was an experienced researcher and had no idea what I would be dealing with. If this ever did happen with one of my clients, I would be so embarrassed I would give them the work for free, or certainly compensate them for their inconvenience.
 
She never did send me the documents she charged for me. I had to pay someone else to send them to me.
