This Christmas season, our church is participating in a program sponsored by World Vision, Inc. which helps poor families in underdeveloped countries to provide for themselves by donating farm animals like chickens, dairy goats and so forth. These animals are very practical and low-maintenance, which means they not only can provide fresh milk and eggs to give nourishment, but can also be raised and used as a source of income to buy clothing, school supplies and other basic necessities. Two chickens can be purchased for as little as $25; other animals such as sheep and dairy cows can also be donated. We will be sponsoring several fundraising programs locally to help a family purchase an entire farm.
I would like to urge my colleagues in the title and abstracting community to visit http://www.worldvision.org and to consider selecting a gift from the World Vision Gift Catalog for an overseas family in need. I pray that God honors your generosity and multiplies many blessings upon you.
In His service,
Scott Perry
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
