Is anyone working like this and it's successful? I've heard nothing but horror stories and I can't even imagine how to reconcile unpaid invoices. And not being the person at the courthouse seeing what's recorded, how could I know when the client is being honest about what closed and what didn't? This is exactly what happened to an associate who was finding mortgages being recorded they were told never closed. In addition, I'd have to create some inflated crazy price sheet just for one client.
They're claiming it would be an accounting nightmare each month for their CFO to have to go through a monthly invoice (which we also don't do - we invoice per order which works just fine for everyone else). They say they basically cut the checks at closing and I guess "screw the rest of them that don't close."
This company has split and originally wanted a fall through which I refused. They ended up working with us and we agreed to do monthly invoices. The new faction wants to keep the fall through. They've been good, enjoyable clients SO FAR but I really don't know how this would work to my advantage.
Any input is GREATLY WELCOME.
