Sometimes I have to look at what we are doing to our industry as an outsider and see how we can actually preserve our work and integrity of our field.  And I have come up with a very obvious and simple solution.  It would involve banning together with all independent abstractors to refuse to do ANY and All document retrievals for companies that are doing online searches and just using us to complete their back chain with deed retrievals.  It may involve asking a few more pertinent questions when asked to obtain these documents, and if they don't speak English you can stop right there. Please don't misinterpretate this message as to mean not to help fellow abstractors that you know personally.   Appreciate your feedback.
