I seem to remember some time ago that getting the work done at the clerk/court was more difficult than dealing with the client because the clerk/court folks were more angry and obtuse.
We have one client who faxes us orders and requests an e-mail confirmation and data upload to their website, and another who has requested that we fill out a hand written form for every invoice we send them.
At what point did the clients start making the clerk look kind and innovative? Or is it just me :-(
