This article is interesting to me because of the bullheadedness of some of the beachfront property owners who are absolutely refusing to sign easements giving permission to have dunes built, which will have the effect of protecting everyone's property along the ocean. On the other hand, the neighbors who have signed easements & are furious with their non-signing neighbors aren't behaving any too well either. Dog poop left in mailboxes is just not right. It's going to come down to eminent domain takings, or war, not sure which will happen first. The evidence is clear though. During the last super storm, Sandy, the areas with complete, end to end dune coverage, did fairly well, the ones without dunes or with incomplete coverage (damn those holdouts) wound up with major flooding. So, who's in the right here?
