VENT - I got a call Friday from a company out of New York needing current owner searches in my area. Said that they would give me the business if I could meet the pricing of the abstractor they needed to replace. When I asked him what the price was, they told me $25.00 for a current owner  (3 to 5 current owners per week).  I said in no uncertain terms thanks but no thanks.  Really?  Are there really companies out there that are charging $25 for current owners?  I told him good luck.  I figure that you get what you pay for, right?  I never did get the name of the company, but was I wrong in thinking that that was highway robbery?
