Michael,
No hidden agendas or cover ups. Hamilton County, like all other Ohio Counties, has elected to abolish the Registered Land (Torrens) system. The cost of maintaining a separate environment for 30% of the properties in the county far out weigh the benefits; in a nutshell. The lawsuit was brought by a handful of local attorneys who stand to lose income when the county abolishes the the Registered Land system currently in place. We, as an abstracting company, have no fear that the change over will jeopardize the integrity of the land records. As another benefit, it will also correct the filing nightmare that we have endured for years.
