[-] looking for work and replies on this post - Barbara Thorpe/OH (5 replies)

I began searching in the late seventies and have seen many changes over the years.

I still enjoy title searching but feel as thou we are now an escape goat for clients that want things streamlined to the extent that it compromises the quality of the searches.

The so called “ETA” time limitations keep getting shorter also compromising the quality of the completed search. What ever happened to taking your time and doing it right the first time?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else we can do for a career where we can use these valuable skills that title searchers have acquired over the years?

Does anyone have any work that they want done that will not require E & O insurance or where the fee will equal the liability? At this point I feel that our liability has far exceeded what our obligation is in the accountability of reporting what is being recorded or not recorded at the courthouses correctly.

Am I the only one out there that feels this way and are my fears rational?

Thank you for your time…
