JOB SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, computer skills, research and analytical abilities. On-the-job training/individual instruction with an attorney are available for qualified candidates.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare title examinations and verify title
- Analyze chain of title and reports outlining title-related matters
- Examine real estate records including deeds, deeds of trust, liens, judgments, easements, and plats/maps to determine ownership, encumbrances, and to verify legal descriptions of property
- Conduct computer-based research utilizing a variety of databases
- Analyze and review mortgages, contracts, and other legal instruments pertaining to title by searching public and private records for law firms, real estate agencies, or title insurance companies
