No Christine, it is not just you . . . I too miss the comradery and friendly help of days gone by.   .    Not only does the "snarky" attitude create a bad image for our industry, but it affects the quality of the title search and ultimately impacts the greatest investment of most Americans -- title to their homes.  As an "older" abstractor (I can't believe I'm admitting to that!!!) I consider it my responsibility to mentor and assist all fellow industry members whenever I can . . . because it is those same persons I look to for answers to my difficult title problems.  This is an issue that the National Association of Land Title Examiners and Abstractors (NALTEA) seeks to address through its membership.  Source of Title and fellow NALTEA members have often been my saving grace.  So I would like to say thank you to all of you who have ever helped me work through a nasty title problem, or collect money from a non-paying client, or give me background info on potential new clients.  Have a happy day all.
