Sorry your husband is such a "stick in the mud".  Doesn't he care about you protecting your

 business interests and fully knowing about potential clients?  If he had allowed you to make

the inquiry about the business and driving by the location, chances are your accountant if

he/she is a good one could have helped you write off part of your trip cost as a valid business

expense( notice I didn't say vacation).
