So often in our industry, we come across deputy clerks who do not want to assist with making copies, specifically of civil & criminal court cases. I get a sense that they feel it is a menial task that is beneath them. Doesn't matter that I am a member of the public just like anyone else and a PAYING CUSTOMER. (At .50 - $2.25/pg depending on the court, I am definitely a paying customer!)
Sooo...I was wondering. how do YOU handle the situation when you receive replies from deputy clerks like this:
"You need to understand that copy requests are not a top priority for us. We currently have 4 people doing the work of 8 this week. I will attempt to get a price to you when I get a moment." -Deputy Clerk Ida Nuttwork
