I was told by one of my researching friends that her boss raised his current owner search fees (approx. 25%) because the lack of volume - now this is one guy I had talked to about being too cheap.  She said he is finally coming around and noticing that all the hard to do - and the hard to find searches are being sent and that is it.  We are talking at the courthouse and everyone is in agreement that something has to be done - finally.  I had to convince many of them that online searches were being done and not being sent to us and they are definitely convinced at this point.  I am probably the least hurt because as they said you are a go-getter but I tell everyone I have to be - a single mother of 2 medically challenged children.  I have a lot of costs.

What does everyone feel about a rate increase to cover the decrease in volume?  They always wanted us to give a decrease when they gave us volume so I would think we should expect the same when there is a decrease shouldn't we?
