All I want to say to title abstractors is to value yourself. When you charge a fee that is substantially less than the current prices for your area, you bring the entire industry down. Some are charging prices that we charged in the 90s. What we do is important and we need to treat it as the profession it is. We are independent. We aren't employees. We cannot let the client dictate a price that is considerably beneath the going rate.. Unless you are in a situation where you absolutely have to charge that price to survive, i urge you to heed these words.
