About the Role:
Pippin Title is seeking to add a Title Examiner to its growing group of title search professionals.
As a Title Examiner, you will work with our expert search team to order and review searches, determine the legal conditions of properties, and to ensure quality of the final title reports prior to delivery to our clients.
You will also be expected to support our Customer Service team on a regular basis by communicating with customers regarding important updates or clarifications, along with receiving and responding to inquiries in relation to their orders.
Responsibilities:
Examine documents from multiple plant databases, such as county assessor, county tax collector, county recorder, county court, and other title websites for sufficiency relative to all types of transaction;
Evaluate and compile documents from plant databases for production of title insurance commitments;
Examine GI matters for the affecting owners and prepare initial title commitment documentation based on the application of appropriate codes from the title code book;
Lead communication with customers, in addition to escrow and marketing personnel, and produce any follow-up in a timely manner;
Assist in assigning work and monitoring production of clerical and title support personnel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) OR three-to-five years’ related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience;
Expert knowledge of real estate financing, escrow, title and conveyance terminology;
Expert knowledge of title insurance requirements, policies, endorsements, legal descriptions and underwriting procedures; Multi-state knowledge a plus;
Experience with commercial and residential searches preferred;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Self-drive with excellent ability to multi-task while maintaining quality;
Experience with remote work collaboration tools (Slack, Google Suite, etc.) preferred.
