I'm sure you've all heard the news out of CA that covid restrictions were lifted today - well, kind of. Everyone is very confused right now and there are a lot of mixed messages going around. But wanted to let you know that nothing changed for us today in the way of access to courts or Recorders. Below is the current situation and I'll let you know as soon as anything changes. Thank you!

Civil - open
Criminal - open for searches/DOB checks, copies must be ordered and can take 1-7 days-ish
Recorder - Name searches available with copies. Closed for walk in filings, dropbox only
San Francisco
Civil - open, but copies and storage delivery can be a bit slow
Criminal - open for name searches/DOB checks. Copies/files can take 4-6 weeks
Recorder - open
Marin
Civil and criminal - NIGHTMARE. Name searches available and clear results within 24 hours. Copy requests for anything other than dockets go into a queue which is about 5 months behind right now. . I can make appointments for DOB checks and copies of dockets only.

Contra Costa
Civil - open
Criminal - dropbox only, but turnaround has been pretty quick and consistent (3-5 days)
