It's a new world. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has published letters confirming that national banks and federal savings associations may use cryptocurrency, but they must demonstrate they have adequate controls in place to deal in in this new currency. This appears to open the door to the financial industry and lenders who wish to handle bitcoin, etc. I expect this will open doors for some title companies who wish to expand into the realm of this new currency.
