This did not happen with your company. It involves a title abstraction company in Lexington, Kentucky. However, if you are the ones that is stiffing someone out of money, you need to pay up and at least have that on your side. Abstractors have a close knit family of sorts and we will not work for a company with a reputation of cheatring others out of money, lying, and paying slow. And, we do talk to each other when a company contacts us wanting us to do searches, just to see what your reputation is in paying your abstractors. To not pay someone for work they have done for you in good faith is theft, plain out right stealing. We give you our time, energy and most often have out-of-pocket expences to do the searches, on the assumption, "hey they are going to pay me just like they promised". I hope this is not your company they are discussing, if so, pay the abstractor what you owe them and quit giving them the run-around. You could have sent them a check in the time you've been on here seeing what else has been posted today. Can you tell by my tone that I've been "stiffed"? Once is all it took.
