I don’t recall a client ever asking if I searched the O & G or minerals. I do, however, run across oil & gas leases from time to time, usually showing the last lease of record only. I include a statement to that effect, in addition to a disclaimer that goes something like: “This examiner has not conducted a search of any oil & gas or mineral estate which may exist on, in or under the surface of the subject lands.”
