I had a client send me an order requesting a specific mortgage with a date, loan amt and lender's name.

When I looked further down on the order form they also wanted copies of all assignments, subordinations and modifications for this mortgage which from my view turned it into a search and NOT a document retrieval.

And they wanted it for $15.00.

I went ahead and did it however it will be the last time I do such an order for $15.00.

Mine was nothing compared to your situation, but wow a 65 year search for $6.00, excuse my french but I wouldn't have the balls to ask someone to do such a search for $6.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think one of the biggest problems is that the person you were dealing with obviously has never gone out to a county and done an actual search so there is a major breakdown in REALITY in terms of the amount of work and time it takes.

I doubt that she will find anyone to do this search for less than the cost of a full search! And if she does well................
