I don't know if ya'll read the article about manufacturing iPhones in China.  It was in the NYT a couple of Sunday's ago.  My takeaway, when I read,  was it won't be long before workers in other countries will not stand for the labor abuse and require higher wages, American workers are a rough bunch, but generally smart and engaged with management (so ideas get communicated back and forth), all in all we are healthier so cost of training is lower (less death and injury related turnover), foreign manufacturing companies are "thieving Somali pirates" and will not work well or collaborate with their parent American companies driving the labor demand, and, most important, these developing nations are cruising for a huge social and economic upheaval (mom and dad may have worked the line for 12 hours a day/7 days a week but they are doing this so their kids don't-not going to happen without major labor disputes and abrupt chaos).
