Revisionists for history are all around.  I agree that it should not be redacted and these people are merely looking for "money for nothing" as per Dire Straits (OOPS - wrong thread, but I digress). 

There was quite a stir when the Common Core Curriculum was demanding redacting of Tom Sawyer for the exact reason you stated, Scott.  Their alternative if not redacted - removal from the school libraries.  Stunning.
