Ouch.  I thought I was helping myself; who knew, even though I have made hundreds of cold calls, walked into almost every single local title agency and real estate law firm, and mailed hundreds of flyers, that its my fault that all these people I have contacted wont give me any work.  I foolishly thought the reason I cant find work is the companies I contacted would not take work away from the abstractors they are presently working with (and happy with) to give that work to me. Thanks for setting us straingt.  Just because you have work right now, does not mean the rest of us arent trying to help ourselves.  We are still making cold calls while we wait for the phone to ring.  Twiddling our thumbs and waiting by the phone is just a saying used to express our frustration over spending 90% marketing ourselves and 10% actually doing searches.  And yes, it is my fault that I dont want to move to another state to find work, at least not yet, but maybe I'd better get on that!
