I didn't even know the package existed until after it was recorded by a registry employee.  When my client called me to record, the loan had been funded;  but the mortgage had been recorded four days previously.  Whether the proceeds had been disbursed or not is unknown.    My question is simply speculative.  It's really the whole concept of the Registry not being held accountable for mistakes that bothers me.
