I friend of mine who subcontracts in tree removal suggested this and I am wondering if anyone has tried this and/or if this would work and help us to get paid.  Abstractors do have the name and address of the borrower, send a letter to each borrower who you did a search on but have not gotten paid, explaining you were hired by the title company who was hired by your bank/mortgage company to do a search and the title company has not paid for the services performed for your property, therefore I am holding you responsible for payment of the search.  If you feel you are not responsible please contact your bank/and or the title company, and provide them with the numbers to call.   Then carbon copy the letter to the bank/mortgage co. and the title co.
