UPDATE- received a check for 1 month- the huge vendor management company that couldn't pay me because they were not getting paid has started sending the orders to the "other" local  independent (who, of course, has higher fees).  I had always been very careful not to try and undercut  the "other" independent when their customers would call because I felt like we lived in a small area and had enough outside competition. We always shared who was giving us a hard time and even covered for each other when we went on vacation. SOOOO- I was shocked to hear they agreed to do orders for them. I know people will say, as the "other" independent did,  "it's business" and  I realize I am better off not working for a company that is so undependable- but I am disappointed that I foolishly believed there is any type of loyalty among Independents.  Opinions please!
