I have never found a federal judgment of record.  I check federal tax liens for ten years only, for each owner in that ten year period.  If the ROD files a federal judgment in the federal tax lien book, it is misindexed, therefore, it not considered recorded at all.  I do not check judgments for twenty years, either.  But thinking back on it, I guess I should.  I do know abstractors that work for attroneys that are required to check judgments all the way back through the chain.
