Just poor planning on the part of the respective county clerks and officials responsible for maintaining and providing public access to the records. There is no need to publish sensitive information, but there seems to be a need to provide some kind of access to land records that can allow a title search to be performed with a high degree of accuracy and certainty- which obviously includes access to the complete records available in the record rooms.

Your "soap box" is what makes this discussion very timely - no need to apologize for that at all- I welcome any comments, as always, I understand that I am in the minority on this subject- but I am also one the believes it can work and it has- our clerks worked years before they made the online systems available to us- there were many "almost starts" and then the fixes were implemented to make the corrections, and we provide corrections on a daily basis if we find them.

It seems that it takes a lot more than we, as title examiners, were made aware of in the beginning, and now we see that errors that have been made by so many places- like Texas and Arizona- that just opened up the flood gates to everything , without any apparent regard to it's citizens and their private lives and information-but that can be corrected with carefully comparisons to systems that do "work"- hopefully that will occur.
