I am responding to Roberts post because I was afraid I may have done something wrong and that frankly concerns me.

I have been an independent abstracter for some time as Pilot Search Company, I have been on this site for over a year, I'm sure Robert can verify that. A number of my bigger clients were asking me to pick up more and more counties around my area, and it eventually became more than any one man could handle, so after the advice of my attorney and accountant I incorporated a few weeks ago and the paperwork just came through.

In response to Robert and Kevin's posts, I was very concerned to say the least. When getting this all set up my attorney handled the whole thing for me, I read and signed some things and made a few phone calls, but I just did what he told me to do. So I called him after reading this thread and told him my concerns. He informed me that we followed the law to the letter. He told me we did nothing wrong and to put my mind at ease. Now I feel better!

So thinking of this I looked up several corps in NY that I knew of and as many as I could find at random and none of them had Registered Agents listed. I am a very intelligent, honest and fair man, that is why I hired a attorney to guide me through a process like this so it is done correctly. I do things right because it is the right thing to do.
