Think backwards.  Theses companies believe their subcontractors were OVERCHARGING to begin with, not that the blame is with their profit margin.  It really annoys me that they imply the blame for any business failure will be placed on their subcontractors.  Guess that explains why many are behind in payments: We would have paid your bill if you didn't charge so much for the services we demanded that you perform. :(
