Get a copy of the grantor's and grantee's index for the period that you suspect the lien should have been recorded. Keep the copies of the index in your file. If there is an error that is subsequently corrected a comparison on the pre and post correction index will reveal it to be the Town/County Clerk's entry error rather than yours.
